Positive and Negative

When photographer Leila Stambouli moved to Montreal a couple of years back, she immediately knew she had found home. Raise all over Canada by 'corporate nomads', Stambouli uses her camera as a tool to document her world. Her stunning black + white portraits are minimalists but yet very powerful; the paintings inspired by this photographs are bare of unnecessary artificiality.
